This design uses the intarsia technique which uses two or more colours in a row to create a multi-coloured fabric. Unlike tapestry crochet, you drop the yarn not in use and only ever work with
one colour at a time, rather than encasing the colour not in use as you go. You do this by using a new ball for each separate area of colour across a row. Make small bobbins of yarn for each new area of colour to make it manageable. A chart is provided to show the colour of the stitches, with each square representing a stitch.
