My friend Beverly of Ross Roost started dyeing and spinning her own yarn and I’ve been drooling over it for a while. She asked me to make a shawl with one of her yarns and I was so excited to say YES!!

The Dahlia Shawl is similar to my Main St. Shawl but with a more triangular shape. It’s a little less scarf like and more shawl like.

I just love these simple asymmetrical shawls for the long color changes of this yarn. The great thing is you can use any weight yarn and any appropriate sized hook. That makes it perfect for whatever hand spun yarn you choose!

The yellow, pink and purple shawl is done in a dk weight and about 470 yards. The black, yellow and white shawl is done in a worsted weight and about 280 yards. It’s slightly smaller but still a great sized shawl!

Skills needed:
Chain, Herringbone dc (instructions included), and working flat.

Technically this pattern would be called intermediate because of the herringbone dc but once you understand that I’d say it’s easy peasy!
