Currant Cardigan
“A scoop neck and no ribbing at cuffs, hem, and neckline give the Currant Cardigan a clean lined texture that looks as though it were cut out of patterned cloth. A winding elliptical cable pattern calls double helixes and garden trellises to mind. A hardworking wool blend yarn makes stitches pop.”
Note: “Using a sturdy cast-on such as the Old Norwegian cast-on will help to keep the stockinette stitch at the hems and cuffs from rolling. Wet-blocking and use of pins will also help to keep the stockinette stitch flat.
Finished Size: 39 (43½, 48, 53, 56½)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 39”, modeled with moderate ease.

Needles: Sizes 8 (5 mm), 7 (4.5 mm), and 6 (4 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable m; cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; three 7/8” buttons.
