Crock-pot Koolaid Sock
I wanted to include an easy, safe anyone-can-do-it dye project in the Happy Trails Socks Book and came up with this simple slip-st sock design that works real well with the variegated Koolaid dyed yarn. Step-by-step instructions make this a great class project for 1st time dyers, and the knitting is easy too. Because you immerse 2 whole balls, the color variegation is somewhat random and no 2 socks come out exactly the same, but that’s all part of the fun!
Happy Trails Socks was a booklet available from the Wooly West. The book is now out of print.
