This is the hat part of pattern Dress and Hat in Crochet.

A medium-weight, all-purpose crochet cotton was used for model. It takes about 300 yards. Use a steel crochet hook size 00 or size required to obtain given gauge. An adjustable tie at base of crown, teen-age to adult (22½) size.
