This was originally designed for my tween daughter who wanted cool back to school clothes, she loves anything that hangs over the hips, and at the time I only had scraps of yarn to work with so necessity being the mother of invention I came up with this. This is a fun and funky pattern sure to please any girl from toddler-hood to teens and the color combinations are endless, just pick one main color and then pick as many or as few contrasting colors as desired. The one made in the picture I used 1 skein black simply soft and several partial skeins of brightly colored lion brand microspun yarn.
This top is worked from the bottom up in the round,
using one main color and several contrasting colors,
increasing and decreasing stitches evenly to form a
wavy pattern around the waist, the bodice is then made
first in the round then in rows.
