MY DESIGN IDEAS AND ADVICE
This pattern is one of eight pattern that I designed to launch especially at Yarndale 2017 along with the Knoll Mohair Tweed DK which was also just launched that year. The yarn is spun in Donegal so I named all the patterns using Irish words, Gael (pronounced gale) is the Irish word for an Irish person or a Scottish highlander – the essence of identity.
I love the cable on this mitten, it’s one of my favourites and I have used it on a few other designs so far – you can have matching socks as I used it on the Gael Socks, another design is the Farrimond Cardigan from my Simple Knits book and then there is Farrimond’s Cushion.
