Cold hands, warm heart—it’s an expression I’ve heard often due to my perpetually frigid hands. Wh
en I learned to knit, fingerless mitts were one of the first projects I made. Finally, something to keep my chilly hands toasty and my fingers free to type, read, and of course, knit!
The Corteza mitts will keep all the hands in your home toasty this fall and winter, with sizes for the whole family and a combination of textured stitches and cables inspired by the fall landscape of wind-blown trees rapidly dropping leaves. Pick an extra warm fiber—this merino/alpaca blend is especially snug—in a yarn with good stitch definition and you’re on track for a warm heart and hands until spring.
