The inspiration for these socks is the scene in the movie Big where Tom Hank’s character Josh nibbles on mini corn as if it were corn on the cob. The seed stitch panels are reminiscent of mini corn, or cornlettes.

In addition to your preferred knitting needles, a cable needle and darning needle will be needed, unless you cable by slipping the stitches off the left needle and rearranging them without a cable needle.

The designer used 323 yds of handspun 3-ply crepe yarn for a pair of socks with a 4.5” leg and 9” foot.
