Coral Reef
Shoals of tropical fish shimmer and glide through dropped stitch waves in Coral Reef, a light Summer shawl.
The pattern combines a variety of yarns and colors, with different degrees of transparency. I knit this project with a box of leftovers from previous knits; it’s a great project for using up even the tiniest minnows of your stash!
Knit on 4mm/US6 needles with approximately 800yds/750m of a selection of different yarns including Coolree Merino/Silk, Dibadu Funnies, Hélène Magnusson Love Story lace weight, Hedgehog Fibres Sock, Ellie & Ada, The Fibre Kitchen Superwash Merino, & Comeragh Yarns Sock Yarn
Dimensions: approximately 152cm/60in by 60cm/24in
Gauge: approximately 19 stitches & 21 rows = 10cm/4in in stocking stitch
Techniques include intarsia and trapping, splicing, and simple increases and decreases.
The pdf includes a chart, notes, photos, and a phototutorial on splicing.
