COMPLEAT cowl

If YABANE scarf or YABANE cowl have intrigued you about 3D knitwear, this next adventure in origami knitting is captivating yet easy to knit! Angular lines and textures are alternated for shaping to create pleated sections, which if worked continuously will result in a spiral look, and if alternated will produce a twisted look! As either of the versions are washed and blocked, both will fold completely flat, just like a piece of paper. But one that you can style and wear with ease!

NOTES
Small size cowl forms an octagon (8 pattern repeats) while large size forms a decagon (10 pattern repeats).
You have an option to work either opposing twist or spiraling twist patterns. Both patterns will create pleats, but the overall look will be different once the fabric is open.

Short size has 3 pattern repeats while Tall has 4 pattern repeats. However if you wish you can work more or fewer, combining or alternating them. Please account for additional yarn.

When pleated, the fabric resembles a stack of rings. The best way to join yarn skeins is by spit-splicing them.
