CONSTRUCTION
Shawl is worked sideways from tip-to-end in garter st, with incs/decs along the edges to create a biased triangle shape.
YARN
Fingering weight yarn:
- For Small: Shown in Crave Linea 90% superwash merino wool, 10% cashmere; 390 yds/100g per skein.
Approx 400 yds/450m MC and 5 x 125 yds/150m for CC stripes.
- For Large: Shown in Jill Draper Makes Stuff Esopus 100% American-grown and spun superwash merino wool; 500 yds/4 oz per skein.
Approx 850 yds/1050m MC and 5 x 175 yds/200m for CC stripes.
GAUGE
24 sts and 48 rows = 4”/10cm in garter st, after blocking.
While exact gauge is not critical, variation in gauge will alter final measurements.
NEEDLES
Size 4 US (3.5mm) 32”/80cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
