Color Me Bright (Child) #108
You can use odds and ends of chunky wool from your yarn basket to make this warm, colorful hat OR use Kool-Aid to dye natural-colored wool to give this basic toque a bright and funky look. The I-cord tails that decorate the top hat are approximately 2 inches long, but you can knit them as long (or as short) as you like. You could even make them very long and sew bells on the ends or tie them into knots. DK or sport weight yarn may be used holding two strands together throughout (double the yardage). Adult sized hat is here.
