Work decreases and yarnovers in mock cables (instead of rearranging stitches and knitting them in a new order), creating a fabric that resembles cliffs and rock formations on the coast of County Clare.

Finished Size 35 (39.5, 44, 48.75, 53.25)“ bust circumference. Vest shown measures 35”; modeled with 1” of positive ease.
Yarn Lion Brand Yarns Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (80% acrylic, 20% wool): #99 fisherman, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6) balls.
Needles Size 13 (9 mm): 32” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers; stitch holders; spare needle for three-needle BO; tapestry needle.
Gauge 10.5 sts and 15 rows = 4” in Mock cable patt.
Note This vest is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarm, then fronts and back are worked separately.
