Finished measurements:
22” circumference after blocking
16” high after blocking
Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns, Fluffy Fingering, 200 yards per 50g skein, 100% merino wool yarn, #2 fingering weight
– 2 skeins or approximately 332 yards / 300 meters of 75 Sky Blue
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) 20” (50 cm) circular needles
Supplies: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires
Gauge:
-- Before blocking: 24 sts to 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch worked in the round.
-- After blocking: 22 sts to 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch worked in the round.
Extra notes: The circumference of the cowl can easily be adjusted to be larger or smaller by adding or subtracting in multiples of 24 stitches. For example, to make a cowl approximately 4” larger around cast on 144 stitches. Similarly, to make a smaller cowl cast on 96 stitches. Keep in mind, additional yarn may be required.
