Christmas blanket
I designed the pattern for the blanket in a way that I can add or remove pattern tiers if I need to as I don’t know how much length this pattern gives me. Sure, I can figure it out approximately, but we don’t know until we’ve actually knitted one. So, here’s my plan.
There will be 442 stitches – 221 stitches per side.
I will knit 50 weeks, 1 row per day – this should mean 350 rows
I planned to use:
3,5 mm needles for cast on and bind off
4 mm needles for knitting
DROPS Merino Extra Fine – red
DROPS Merino Extra Fine – white
I actually used:
4,5 mm needles for knitting as well as cast on
DROPS Merino Extra Fine – red
DROPS Merino Extra Fine – white
My thought process for choosing yarn: I figured this is the yarn I’ve used and trust, and I can get it (and the colors) anytime – this way I don’t have to pay too much at once, and I can always get more yarn. And I know I need more yarn. For starters, I have 2 of the red one and 2 of the white one.
