This allows you to pay what you are able while valuing my and other designers’ labor by providing a sustainable price for our patterns. The price as listed reflects what I believe is fair for my work.

We will be starting on December 1st and clues will be coming out rapid fire! 12 clues in all, with the final clue being further finishing instructions.

There will be two options for the ends of the scarf, one is decidedly feminine and the second works for anyone.

There will be four different edging options for after the scarf is blocked (one is “do nothing” ;) )

The pattern, as written, will produce a scarf approximately 8” (20cm) wide by 85” (216cm) long. This, of course, will vary depending on knitting and blocking styles.

You will need a US 6 (4.00mm) and US 4 (3.5mm) needle. If you prefer to do your knitting “two at a time” the smaller needle will need to be a cabled/interchangeable needle.

You will need approximately 700 - 900 yards (640 - 825 meters) of fingering or sport weight yarn. There is a portion that would work well in a contrasting color, if you wish.

For one of the finishing options you will need between 400 - 1600 size 6/0 (4mm) (or 8/0 {2.5mm}, if you prefer the look of smaller beads on this yarn weight) beads. (This sounds crazy, I know, but it will all make sense soon.) There are several different options for this beaded portion which will allow for many combinations of colors and numbers of beads.
