Chocolate Kisses Socks
Put any three of my patterns in your shopping basket and you get 35% off, no code needed!
When creating this pattern, I was aiming for a relatively simple sock with a little texture that allows a fantastic yarn to speak for itself. Since the colourway I used, is called chocolate kisses, I couldn’t resist making small chocolate candies with pink, yellow and brown sprinkles, to match the speckled yarn. A perfect knitting candy and the recipe is found on page 3.
So, have a seat in your favourite knitting space, have a chocolate treat and enjoy this wonderful yarn experience.
Yarn
Moods of Colors Softsock, 75% merino / 25% nylon, fingering weight, 425m/100g
or other durable fingering weight sock yarn approx. 400m/100g.
Calculated metreage:
270 (300) 330 (360) 390 metres
Note that metreage can differ depending on the length of the foot.
Gauge
34 sts x 45 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking
When the sample was knit, a gauge was obtained on 2.5mm needles. I am a tight knitter, so you might need to go down a needle size or two.
Usually, I would recommend knitting a swatch to ensure your gauge is correct. When knitting socks, the toe can serve as a swatch, just be prepared that you might need to start the toe over again if your gauge is too much different from the pattern.
