Child's Crochet Frock
Materials required: Medium-sized crochet hook, 1/2 lb. of Berlin wool, five silk buttons for the front, a cord to go round the neck with two little tassels, a cord with tassels for the waist, a muslin pleating edged with lace to be tacked inside the edge of the skirt.
The stitch employed is that known as the close shell-stitch. The body, skirt, sleeves, and cape are made separately, and sewn together with wool. The work must be turned on the other side every fresh row.
