Here we go down the rabbit hole into Wonderland - the Cheshire Hat will have you grinning from ear to ear, just like the Cheshire Cat. Neat construction and simple ribbing gives the wearer little cat ears. Cute. Not so cute that a chap couldn’t wear it, though. We’ve had requests…

Bear in mind that it’s all ribbing, so is very forgiving.

Actual sizes: 38.5(47, 54)cm, 15(18½, 21¼)”

Tension: when we say ‘with ribbing completely relaxed’, we mean exactly that. Knit your swatch, steam lightly, give it a little shake to settle it and lay flat, exactly as it is. Don’t do anything to it. Put a pin in one side a few stitches in, running vertically up the wale. Measure across 10cm, put another pin in. Now you can stretch your swatch out slightly to count how many stitches you have in 10cm between the pins.

2 x 50g balls for all sizes. Shown in Graphite, 702 (large adult), and Raspberry, 915 (small adult).

Actual amount used (this includes 5% ‘wastage’ and is rounded to the nearest g/m/yd):

79(90, 100)g / 117(134, 148)m / 127(146, 161)yds.
