Chelsea the Black-Necked Stilt
Say hello to Chelsea the Black-Necked stilt as she struts into the menagerie! With their elegant black and white plumage, rose pink legs and long thin bill, these shorebirds can be found in mudflats, saltmarshes, salt pans and flooded fields in the wild. Standing only a few centimetres shorter than her wild cousins, this woolly version of the black-necked stilt will look rather stately perched on your shelf and will bring joy to your home all year round.
This cute crochet bird pattern forms part of our Edward’s Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet animal kit contains our luxurious pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with help video links for all the techniques.
YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Black-Necked Stilt you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your bird will be approximately 32cm tall from feet to top of head.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
