Cheerful Cloud
This cheerful garter stitch cloud is bobbing along in the sky, with little raindrop legs. This quick knit would make a super bag charm or keyring charm, or add as a mini decoration for wreaths and mobiles. As this only uses small amounts of yarn, it is a super stash-busting project to use up odds and ends to avoid waste.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cloud is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the raindrop legs are i-cord tubes worked on two DPNs.
NEEDLES
A pair each of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 4).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each shade.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and toy safety eyes.
SIZES
One size only - 9cm across x 10cm tall.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, increases and decreases, and a little bit of seaming to finish.
