Mount Kosciuszko is the tallest peak in Australia, at 7,310 feet (2,228 m). You can drive in to Charlotte Pass and then hike eight miles to the summit. It is snow-covered in winter and spring, and you can cross-country ski in when there is good snow! some argue that the tallest peak on the continent is this one, but if you really consider the whole “continent” of Oceania, then it most certainly is not! this is one of the controversies that climbers and geologists continue to banter about.

This piece is worked flat, with short rows for shaping. The garter section is worked in twisted garter stitch (knit into the back leg of every stitch (meaning every stitch, so every stitch on every row!)) Feel free to work in plain garter stitch if you prefer. The fabric will look a little different, but will work just fine.
