Chanticleer Cardigan
Errata:Under “sleeves” the pattern says to pick up the underarm stitches and knit across the sleeve stitches. These stitches should be purled, not knit.
Worked from the top down in reverse stockinette stitch, this jacket features faux seams, a wide ribbed collar, and a double-knit belt. The soft Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton makes this a great multiseason cardigan/jacket. If you do your finishing carefully, you can even wear this “inside-out” with the stockinette side facing out, as shown in the last photo.
A note about the increase method: if you are having trouble with your increases creating holes or wonky tension, you may be tightening the yarn too much when creating the new stitch. Try relaxing the tension with the new stitch; it needs to be fairly loose to keep from yanking the rows together.
