Certosa socks take us inside the Certosa di San Martino. We have seen the chic avenues of the Vomero district, and now I’ll take you to visit the museum of San Martino.
Certosa di San Martino is an affascinating mix-match of everything, in a way that only the Neapolitans can create.
Entering the Certosa one can visit the churches and rooms turned into a museum. Behind the palace there’s a lovely garden with paths, orange trees and vines. Sit down for a while, rest your feet and soul, listen to the birds sing and let your eyes rest on the view of the Gulf of Naples.
Continue your walk to the courtyard of the cloister. There’s an old well, arches and old frescoes on the ceilings of the hallways framing the courtyard. The skulls and bones that decorate the railings create an absurd contrast with the palace and the other details.

These sport weight socks are knit cuff down with a fleegle heel. The heel increases decorate the back of the heel. A beautiful lace motif decorates the leg and the instep. The sample is made using a rustic kind of yarn that adds depth and interest to the pattern.

Tukuwool sock (80 % Finnsheep, 20 % biodegradable polyamide,
320 m / 100 g).
1 (1, 1) 2 skeins or 176 (233, 294) 352 m / 193 (255, 322) 385 yds of sport weight yarn.

Gauge
26.5 sts x 40 rnds = 10 cm /4” with 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles in stockinette st in the round after blocking.

Needles
2.5 mm (US 1.5) – 100 cm / 40” circular needles, or as required to obtain gauge.
