Celilo Falls
This hat is evocative of the cold tumbling waters that poured over the historic Celilo Falls. The colorwork pattern is especially effective when using a self-striping or gradiant yarn held against a contrasting solid.
The pattern offers both a DK weight version and a Bulky weight version.
For DK version:
150 yards each of 2 contrasting colors (works well with one color changing yarn and one solid)
16” circular size US 4 (3.5mm)
16” circular and DPNS size US 6 (4.0mm)
Gauge: 27x30 = 4” in colorwork Stockinette
For Bulky version:
50 yards each of 2 contrasting colors (works well with one color changing yarn and one solid)
16” circular size US 9 (5.5mm)
16” circular and DPNs size US 10.5 (6.5mm)
Gauge: 14x20 = 4” in colorwork Stockinette
