Catalyst Cowl

This cozy cowl is easy to knit, with a cluster-stitch pattern worked in a wedge shape at one end for an asymmetrical look. Worked flat from side to side, this cowl also features knitted-in buttonholes.
Size 27” wide and 8” tall, unbuttoned; 18” circumference, buttoned 
Yarn Brown Sheep Company Nature Spun Worsted (100% wool; 245 yd 224 m/ 100 g): 
• #N17W French clay, 1 skein 
Gauge 18 sts and 28 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle 
Tools 
• Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24” circular (cir) needle 
• Size 5 (3.75 mm): 24” cir needle 
• Markers (m) 
• Tapestry needle 
• Three 1½“ (40 mm) buttons
