Cashmere Beret
This simple, urbane beret employs a dk-weight cashmere yarn knit down to a fingering gauge for a cozy, dense fabric that’s soft on even the smoothest pate. The flattering shape looks great on men and women alike. And it’s very ‘Euro’—our friend Craig wore his on a trip to Paris and tourists kept asking him for directions!
This beret should fit softly and comfortably with enough slouch to wear at a jaunty angle and enough depth to pull down over your ears on a chilly morning.
If the beret’s band is too large for your head or stretches out with wear, whip-stitch the rolled band to the inside, leaving a small opening to insert a narrow piece of soft elastic or a fine ribbon.
We’ve also knit this handsome beret in Brooklyn Tweed Loft! Details can be found on our website.
