Cascara Cowl
I am so excited to be one of 9 designs included in The Sun and Fog Leaves Fall 2023 collection!
I enjoy hiking the trails meandering through the forest of the Sammamish, Washington area. I was mesmerized by the canopy of trees above the trails of Soaring Eagle that kept me dry as a light rain fell from above as I hiked, and this was the inspiration behind the lace leaf panel featured in the Cascara Cowl. As the summer season fades into fall, with a bit of chill in the air, a squishy and comfortable to wear accessory is a must have in the change of seasons.
This asymmetrical triangular shaped cowl is worked flat and features a lace leaf panel paired with a textured double moss stitch. Once the piece is blocked, the cast-on edge is sewn to the straight edge on the right edge of the cowl.
