Yarn: Indigo Dragonfly - Chameleon Sock (4 ply / fingering weight; 63% Merino wool, 20% cashmere, 17% silk; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g skein) Shade: Neuralgebra; 2 skeins
Gauge: 24 sts & 39 rows = 10 cm / 4” over garter stitch on 3.5 mm needles after blocking. 24 sts & 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” over lace patterns on 3.5 mm needles after blocking. Use the following Lace Repeat for your gauge swatch:
ROW 1 (RS) : K1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog,
yo; rep from to last st, k1.
ROW 2 (WS) : Purl.
ROW 3: K2, yo, s2kpo, yo, k1; rep
from to last st, k1.
ROW 4: Purl.
Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle, minimum 80 cm / 32” length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 1 stitch marker, scrap yarn or stitch holder, tapestry needle, T-pins and blocking wires
Notes: Carr begins from a small number of stitches and is worked with increases at the centre and edges until depth is reached. From there, the sides are split to work individually, with decreases occurring every other row on Side A and every fourth row on Side B.
