Although I do love traditional candy canes, the Candyland theme has become a trendy aesthetic & can highlight the Pound of Love color options, making The Candyland Blanket a fun project to bring back your childhood imagination with color play that could fit any season/holiday. This blanket is a simple 10-row repeat that becomes intuitive which makes it a nice meditative knit for the calmer season. Ultimately, this knit blanket is the ideal cozy project while still being fun.

Pattern is worked flat in rows, but on circular needles to hold the quantity and weight of stitches.

You will need:
Color A: 1 skeins of Pound of Love in “Cerise” or approximately 915 yards of medium level 4 yarn
Color B: 2 skeins of Pound of Love in “Waterfall” or approximately 1260 yards of medium level 4 yarn

Pattern is written with 63 stripes. You will have to snip after each color change; however, you can choose to weave in ends later or knit over them as you go. Reference this Weavin’ Stephen tutorial —

Pattern striping sequence is 4 rows of Color A followed by 6 rows of Color B but can easily be customized as desired with more/less colors or color changing. Since the pattern is a garter stitch texture, this will look like 2 rows of Color A bumps & 3 rows of Color B bumps. If you’re familiar with reading your knitting, it’s fairly easy to identify your repeats, but if you’re uncomfortable with that and/or you recognize that a knit blanket is a marathon, this pattern is written to provide exact row counts with designated repeats to make it easy for you to use a row counter to keep track with where you left off.
