Here is a quick easy pattern (or recipe) to make a simple Candy-Stripe Christmas Ornament! You just need a little bit of yarn, some filling and less than an hour to have a fun gift for your neighbors and friends, or to decorate your own tree.
This project is a perfect stash buster, use leftover bulky weight yarn, or hold 2 strands of some worsted weight yarn. Experiment with different patterns or just make some solid ornaments! Most importantly: Have fun!
Size:
Makes one 4“ (10cm) knitted Christmas ornament
Materials:
20 yards of Bulky Weight yarn in a light color (Color A)
20 yards of Bulky Weight yarn in a contrasting color (Color B)
US 6 - 4.0mm 28” circular needle
US 6 –4.0mm DPNS
Polyfill or stuffing of your choice
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
18 sts x 20 rows in candy stripe pattern with US 6 –4mm needles = 4”x4” (10cm x 10cm)
