Canadia
by Mary Hough
This is a lace sock that can be knit toe up or from the cuff down, with a slip stitch heel. There are 2 sizes, a 72 stitch leg and a 64 stitch leg. There is an option for doing the toe of the toe up sock in an eye of partridge stitch.
Canadia (meaning of Canada or after Canada) is a genus of extinct annelid worm present in Burgess Shale type Konservat-Lagerstätte. These annelids, about 1 to 2 inches in length, are some of the most photogenic of the Burgess Shale fossils. The head bore a pair of slender tentacles while the body was covered with innumerable setae (short bristles).
