From the moment I saw the Strange & Unusual palette created by LolaBean Yarn Co., I just knew I needed to come up with a design to match its clever and whimsical vibe, which was inspired by the movie, Beetlejuice. The Calypso Cowl, which drew its name inspiration from that iconic song at the end, features a stranded colorwork section of plaid (a nod to the shirt worn by one of the main characters throughout the movie) followed by a stockinette section in mauve (remember that spray paint on the wall?). Before seamlessly grafting together the ends, you’ll give it a twist. LolaBean’s color palette makes this cowl so versatile, but you could totally go full-on Halloween, too, with shades of orange, purple, white, black and green. It’s all up to you!
