Needles: 3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, 60-l00cm / 24- 40” length (depending on size worked) AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, 2 locking stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle

Notes: Cairie is worked in the round from the bottom up. When the armhole is reached the front and back are worked separately back and forth in rows and additional stitches are cast on using cable cast-on method for the underside of the drop shoulder. The shoulders are shaped using German short-rows. When the front and back are complete, the shoulders seams are joined using a three-needle cast-off, then stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked in the round down to the cuff. Finally stitches are picked up around the neckline and the neckband is worked in the round.
