This pretty ribbed sweater is available in one size. It can be knitted with either a cropped or longer length body. This sweater is the perfect introduction to knitting cables.
To Fit Bust:
106 cm / 42”
Actual Garment Measurements:
Bust: 106 cm / 42”
Cropped Back Length: 50 cm / 20”
Longer Back Length: 66 cm / 27”
Yarn:
Blacker 50/50 Jacob Wool / Mohair (DK; 110 m / 119 yds per 50g)
Mid Grey; 10 balls for cropped sweater
13 balls for longer sweater
+1 ball if turtle neck desired
Gauge:
30 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm / 4” worked in 3x2 rib before blocking
21 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm / 4” worked in 3x2 rib after blocking
Adjust needle size to give required tension.
Needles:
4.5 mm (US 7) - straight knitting needles
Notions:
stitch holders, stitch markers, darning needle
Notes:
The garment is knitted flat and then seamed. The sweater may be left completely plain, or a turtle neck can be added. The sleeves have three lines of twisted rib as a design feature.
