Ca’ the Yowes
Worked top-down from a small cast-on, Ca’ the Yowes is created from a sequence of lace-patterns, ending with a wide crescent border. The main charts may be repeated as you please, so the shawl is highly adaptable in size.
Suitable for any yarn, from cobweb to fingering weight, that knits with good stitch-definition, and about 400m/440yds upwards for a cowl-sized shawlette; 600m/655yds upwards for a full-sized shawl.
A third panel can be added to the body to create a wide wrap-around crescent, if that is your preference. This would require half again as much yarn as the two-panelled version.
. The crocus gradient shawl used just under 100g = 600m/655yds of heavy lace-weight yarn
. The pale gradient shawl used 114g = 570m/624yds of light fingering yarn
. The green-to-magenta three-panelled crescent shawl used a little under 94g = 565m/615yds of heavy lace-weight yarn

Please note that the pattern is given as charts only, with little written explanation. It should present no difficulties to knitters with experience of working lace and the ability to read their stitches, but is not really suitable for beginners.
If you have any problems with the pattern, please pm me and I shall try to help.
