Ch 2 at the end of the row counts as the first stitch of the next row.
You will be using a double strand of the weight 4 yarn, I pull from the center as well as the outside of the skein. You can also use two skeins, and make two scarves total.
You can also use a single strand weight 5 yarn, but you will have to adjust the starting chain, and likely use 3 balls (or 300+ yards). I would chain as many chains to achieve 30 inches, then add 2 for the turning chain.
