This pattern comes in different versions that you can combine at will: you can either choose to make a square cushion cover or a rectangular pillow case; you can choose to have a patterned back or an unpatterned one; you can choose to have a flat flap that runs along the back of the cushion cover / pillow case or you can choose to have a tight and shaped flap that makes your cove / case look a bit like a hot water cover and which allows you to tuck it in without buttons; finally, you can opt to have button holes or not in your flat flap. The pattern is similar but not identical to the Buttercup Cowl pattern.

Yarn
This pattern uses DK (double knit) yarn.

Needle size
3.5 and 4mm OR size needed for gauge.

Tension
22 sts and 29 rounds over Fair Isle pattern in the round (after blocking) = 10 cm.
It is always wise to do a swatch to establish your tension; adjust your needle size accordingly.

Size
Cushion cover: ca 45 x 45 m
Pillow case: ca 45 x 60 cm
Size can be adjusted by using larger or smaller needles.
