Brooklyn Cap
by Laura Irwin
A simple felted cap lends itself to embellishment. For the past couple of years, Laura Irwin has made dozens of caps, each one a little different. She’s played around with various felting yarns and added all kinds of decorative elements: ribbons, buttons, toggles, and cutout felted shapes. For this version of her cap, she has used needle felting to create a curving graphic line across the crown. Knit up your own cap, felt it, then follow Laura’s applied design or create your own.
