Brilliance Pullover
Brilliance is entirely about cozy, easy comfort. She’s knit from the bottom up in the round, minimizing seams and finishing wherever possible. The modeled sweater is knit with 4 inches of negative ease allowing curves to shine through the slim fit. You can easily choose one size larger than your listed if you prefer a sweater with more ease.
Knit circularly with moderate seaming at bust and under arm. The construction is slightly unusual but not difficult.
Models are both wearing the same sweater, in a size XS.
Sizes & Yardage:
Size: XS (S, M, L, XL) - shown in size Extra Small.
Yarn: 5 (5, 6, 7, 8) Skeins Malabrigo Worsted. Shown in Lettuce.
Finished Measurements:
Measurements given over the fullest part. Note, the actual sweater will be smaller than these measurements, because it’s knit with 4” of negative ease. I find it easier to choose the size closest to yours based on these standard measurements. Choose by the hip measurement, you can increase the bust above the given measurement by following given shaping instructions. By knitting the optional bust shaping, you can add up to 2” to the listed bust measurements.
Bust: 30 34, 38, 42, 48
Hips: 32 36, 40, 44, 50
Length: 23 24, 25, 26, 27
Ease:
Brilliance will stretch up to 4 inches when worn (depending on gauge and stiffness of resulting fabric). An XS will fit up to a 30 inch bust with no additional bust shaping.
Size should be chosen based on wearer’s hip measurement. Short row shaping at the bust may be added if the wearer’s bust is significantly larger than the measurement given. Shaping is recommended for cup sizes C and larger. You will be able to customize the bust to meet your shape.
