Bramble Fern Sweater
I’m always looking for layering pieces for my boys come winter time. I designed this sweater to be perfect for those mild winter days. It has a simple knit-purl pattern as the main motif and 1x1 rib on the sides to give stretch and allow for growing room.
Sizes: 0-3 mo (3-6 mo, 6-12 mo, 12-24 mo, 2-3 y, 3-4 y)
To-fit circumference: 19 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) “ / 48 (53.5, 56, 58.5, 61, 63.5) cm
Designed to fit with 2” / 5 cm postive ease
Gauge: 17 sts & 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st
Needles: US #8 / 5 mm – either circular needle for magic looping or 16” / 40 cm circular for body/yoke and dpns for sleeves
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Eco + (100% wool; 478 yards / 437 m per 250g skein). 1 skein
OR
Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester Aran (100% wool; 82 yards / 75 m per 50g skein). 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5) skeins
OR
220 (260, 300, 335, 385, 430) yards / 201 (238, 274, 306, 352, 393) m of aran weight wool
