This triangular shawl is knit from the top/back neck down to the hem. It is shaped with yarn-overs at each side edge and on each side of a center back stitch on all RS rows. The overall lace pattern of curved fern fronds is highlighted with the addition of optional beads for a bit of sparkle.

This pattern will require approximately 700 yards of fingering weight yarn to knit as written. If substituting yarns, choose one with a nice drape and limited halo. If opting for the beads, you will need exactly 192 size 6 seed beads to complete the pattern as written. When purchasing beads, add 10-20% extra for breakage or loss.

Note that the motifs are presented in chart form ONLY. No written instructions for the lace motifs are given.

This shawl is pattern 5 of 6 in the 2017 Herbarium Lace Club ebook collection, which can be found here on Ravelry.
