Boxes and Buds Stole
Having originally designed this for Yarnbox, I had to conform to the amount of yarn contained in the box: two skeins, each 100 grams of sock/fingering weight yarn. That limitation provides a design challenge or opportunity, depending on one’s perspective. I decided to take that limitation, add a geometric inspiration (the rectangle), and create two designs. This gorgeous lace-celebrating stole, with its one-size-fits-all approach, is the first of those two related designs.
It’s light and airy feel, made in a gorgeous summery hue, can be dressed down and worn with jeans and a tee, or dressed up and thrown over shoulders on a night out. While I absolutely loved working with this colorway (it’s Interlaken by Three Irish Girls, in case you are interested), I can also see this stole in a wide range of colors and fibers. For cooler weather, an alpaca/silk blend in an autumnal color would be spectacular.
