This crescent shawl combines all the things I love to knit – garter stitch, beautiful chevron-style lace, and a knitted-on border. Combine those elements with using two beautiful skeins of yarn and I’m completely head-over-heels for this shawl.

PATTERN NOTES
The body of the shawl is worked in garter stitch. So you don’t lose your place, you may find it helpful to use a locking stitch marker to mark the right side of the work.

In the Edging Section, on rows starting with BO 3 sts, a regular knitwise bind off was used. Additionally, one stitch remains on the right needle after binding off – this counts as the first stitch that follows the binding off (i.e., it’s the first stitch of the k4 that follows the binding off).
