Blue tendrils
I don’t have pockets. My favourite attires comprehend tight fitting trousers and flaring skirts, I seldom wear jeans and the
close fit of women jackets discourages the use of pockets of any kind. So I needed something casual to carry all my usual
things, keys, cellular phone, mp3 player, in an easy yet feminine way when I don’t feel like carrying a handbag.
Hence this pattern…
I decided for a simple stitch with a striped pattern in the front and a vertical line in the back extending on the triangular
closing flap. As I wanted something funny and cute to balance the sobriety of the stitch, I eventually decided to add tendrils.
The flap’s edge and the hem are perfectly tidy and neat, unlike all the mean things I’ve heard about crochet and « borders
always being so messy you’ll need to ‘fix them’ » by adding a decorative border afterwards.
Nope… You won’t!
