Blue Oak Shawl
PATTERN NOTES
Pick two colors that sing to you and settle in for a relaxing knit. The colorwork is an easy to memorize slip stitch pattern, so only one color is used at a time. A band of solid color gives a visual break in the dotted slipped stitches. This solid color also presents at the border for a lace edging that resembles the leaves of an oak tree, particularly with a good blocking.
This shawl is knit from the top down beginning with a garter tab cast-on. Four stitches are increased every Right Side row until the final section, in which only two stitches are increased every Right Side row. We recommend the suspended bind-off method to ensure the edge is elastic.
