Blue Lakes Shawl
Visiting Anchorage, Alaska, I was struck by the prominent, snow-covered peaks that seemed to arise out of the midst of lakes and ponds. Blue Lakes is thus inspired by this piece of Alaskan beauty, and is meant to be a lightweight yet warming large shawl. The alternating stockinette and textured stripes hug the body in a comforting way. A swath of lace adds a bit of classic whimsy and visual appeal.
