Coming up with a name of this simple, round, beginner kitty pattern has been a challenge. It sat nameless for a long time with just “cat pattern” on the document. But as I kept referring to it as “Blob Cat” with my husband, it slowly started to stick. So here it is, the Blob Cat.
This pattern is for crochet only.

Easy. Knowledge needed of chains (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), increases and decreases. Knowledge of amigurumi part attachment is recommended.
Supplies
• Red Heart Super Saver 100% acrylic, worsted weight, 364 yds/7 oz/198 g, Any color (MC) < 1 ball, Accent Color (AC) < 1 ball, Black (BLK) 50 yds.
• G (4.00mm) hook
• Two 15mm slit pupil safety eyes
• Polyfil stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Straight pins (if desired)
• Stitch markers (if desired)
Measurements
6” tall x 5” wide x 5” deep
Gauge
Gauge is not important for amigurumi. Be sure to use the same hook throughout to ensure proportional size.
