Blanket
The experienced knitter with enjoy the challenge of knitting an heirloom baby blanket made up of hexagons knit from the center outward in a pretty star patterned texture.

This is an updated pattern from Paton’s UK
Gauge: 1 hexagon measures 18 cm from corner to corner and 15 cm wide.
You will need a set of 4 3mm (US 2-3) dpn’s or circular needles, as well as a circular needle approximately 120cm (48”) long for the border. You will also need spare needles for stitch holders, plus 4 stitch markets and a tapestry needle.
The blanket is worked in hexagon, half-hexagons and triangle motifs which are connected to each other as they are made. A border is added to finish.
Yarn used: Patons UK Baby Smiles Fairytale Cotton 4 ply. 25g balls
